American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS)
An international non-profit organization dedicated to advancing science around the world by serving as an educator, leader, spokesperson and professional association.

Association for Science Teacher Education (ASTE)
ASTE promote excellence in science teacher education world-wide through scholarship and innovation.

Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators (AMTE)
The largest professional organization devoted to the improvement of mathematics teacher education, including over a thousand members who are devoted to the preservice education and professional development of K-12 teachers of mathematics.

California Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators (CAMTE)
Promotes and supports excellence in the preparation and professional development of K-12 mathematics teachers in the state. CAMTE represents the collective voice of California's math teacher education community at both state and national levels.

California Department of Education (CDE)
The mission is to provide a world-class education for all students, from early childhood to adulthood. The CDE serves our state by innovating and collaborating with educators, schools, parents, and community partners to prepare students to live, work, and thrive in a highly connected world.

California Reading Association (CRA)
A professional organization of educators who are involved in all aspects of reading and language arts education. It is an affiliate of the International Reading Association.

California Science Teachers Association (CSTA)
Represents science educators statewide, in every science discipline and at every grade level, Kindergarten through University.

Engineering is Elementary (EiE)
A project of the National Center for Technological Literacy (NCTL) addressing the need for STEM education through three platforms: curriculum development and dissemination; professional development for teachers and teacher educators; and educational research and evaluation. The Engineering is Elementary project provides training and resources to support elementary teachers develop students' engineering literacy.

International Reading Association (IRA)
A global network of individuals and institutions committed to worldwide literacy. A wide range of resources and numerous professional development activities for literacy professionals are offered by the organization.

Lawrence Hall of Science at UC Berkeley
A valuable resource for teachers and administrators. The site features professional development related to NGSS, including curriculum materials and science enrichment programs that can support teachers and prepare them to implement NGSS with success in their classrooms.

Math & Science Teacher Initiative (MSTI)
An innovative partnership of the Colleges of Education and Natural Sciences and Mathematics at Cal State Fullerton to provide strong, collaborative, and comprehensive efforts to improve practices in math and science teacher candidate recruitment, pre-service preparation, induction, beginning teacher professional development, and retention.

National Association for Research in Science Teaching (NARST)
Promotes research in science education at all levels and to disseminate research findings to improve science teaching.

National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE)
A professional association of educators in English studies, literacy, and language arts. It is dedicated to improving teaching and learning of English and the language arts at all levels.

National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM)
The public voice of mathematics education, supporting teachers to ensure equitable math learning of the highest quality for all students through vision, leadership, professional development, and research. 

National Science Teachers Association (NSTA)
The largest organization in the world committed to promoting excellence and innovation in science teaching and learning for all.

Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) California
Prepares the nation’s most STEM-capable graduates by coordinating and activating a statewide network representing all STEM stakeholders.

Student Achievement Partners
A non-profit organization working to support teachers across the country in their efforts to realize the promise of the Common Core State Standards for all students.

Committed to ensuring that beginning teachers are well prepared for the classroom. Its core goals are to create and implement new licensure assessments to establish a professional threshold for entry to the classroom based on specific high-leverage instructional practices, as well as partnering with teacher preparation programs across the sprawling enterprise to develop common approaches to professional training focused on these high-leverage instructional practices.

Aims to bring beginning and struggling readers to high levels of literacy through a variety of strategies and tools, particularly the texts used for reading instruction. The project provides resources for teachers and students.
